Možnosti fyzioterapie u dětí po operaci nosních mandlí
VAŠKOVÁ, Zuzana
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of hypertrophied nasal tonsils known as adenoid vegetation. This is a very common condition amongst children and it is usually operated by surogical removal, in other words by adenotomy. An enlarged nasal tonsil often causes obstruction of the nasal passages that leads to mouth breathing. This incorrect way of breathing leads to changes in the orofacial area, as well as weakening of the respiratory muscles and poor posture. The theoretical part focuses on the correct breathing mechanics, symptoms and treatment of adenoid vegetation and its effect on the postural and respiratory system of children. The aim of this theses was to describe the symptoms and the effect of adenoid vegetation on the postural and respiratory system. The second aim was to map the possibilities of physiotherapy. After adenotomy, there is often no spontaneous recovery of nasal breathing. The defective stereotype needs to be modified and at the same time the defects of the poor posture need to be corrected. The practical part contains a description of the methodology and the course of the research. The research was conducted in a qualitative form and consists of two case studies of children who underwent adenotomy. Their medical history was collected and initial analysis was carried out. Subsequently, individual respiratory and postural therapy was performed. At the end of therapy, an exit kinesiological analysis was made. Finally, the input and output analyses were compared at the end of the practical part. The research showed that postural stabilization and respiratory mechanics improved after the therapy. This bachelor thesis can be a source of useful information for professionals or parents of children after adenotomy
Brugger concept and its usage for the correction of wrong body posture and its prevention of occurrence of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system
KRATKOVÁ, Kateřina
In my bachelor 's thesis I dealt with the use of Brügger' s concept in therapy and its relation to the influence of bad posture and functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The theoretical part deals with the description of Brügger's concept and basic concepts, which Dr. Alois Brügger defined. Examples are tendomyosis, functional muscle contracture, disturbing factors and more. In the theoretical part I also mention diagnostics and describe in detail the possibilities of therapy according to Brügger's concept. Therapy includes, for example, preparatory measures, passive and active therapeutic procedures, VDT correction or ADL training. I also briefly mention the connection with gross motor skills - postural and locomotor system, especially in terms of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system and bad posture, which was also one of the goals of my work. Another goal of my work was to describe Brügger's concept and to build a suitable exercise unit that will positively affect these disorders. My practical part was processed in the form of qualitative research. In total, I processed three case reports. The initial kinesiological examination was included, including a detailed anamnesis. This was followed by the implementation of an exercise unit during 10 meetings for about two months. Subsequently, the output kinesiological analysis was performed and its comparison with the input kinesiology was also made. I found out the results, thanks to which I could answer my research questions. In conclusion, it could be said that the health condition of the probands has improved, however, a control with an interval of several months would be appropriate, where the effectiveness of the therapy would be much better.
Influence of the quality of the functional periphery of the lower limb on the posture and axial system in children
CIMLOVÁ, Martina
This bachelor thesis looks at the influence of the quality of the functional peripheral of the lower leg on the posture and axial system. The periphery of the lower extremities is an important part of the musculoskeletal system. The quality of the lower leg periphery will influence the functional involvement of other areas. Functional leg disorders can cause functional disturbances in other areas or affect them significantly. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. Psychomotor development from prenatal to preschool has been described in the theoretical section. Furthermore, the work deals with functional anatomy of the leg and development of the functional leg. The axial system is the main theme of the next chapter. Posture, postural function, stability, as well as posture disorders are further content of the theoretical part. Conclusion of the theoretical part deals with the defective posture of the most common functional disorders in the lower leg area. This part is concluded with the possibilities of postural therapy in children. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is processed in the form of qualitative research. Probands are individuals aged 3-6 years with impaired lower leg support quality, enrolled in physiotherapy at outpatient facility Rehabilitation Borovany s.r.o. Physiotherapy was carried out by a trained physiotherapist, the therapy was followed by a student and subsequently described in case reports three children. Individual case reports include an initial examination, a course of therapy and an exit examination. The first goal of the work was to describe the development of the functional support of the lower limb periphery and the influence of its quality on the posture and axial system in children. The second objective was to describe therapeutic practices in specific individuals aged 3-6 with impaired support quality. In the form of case reports. Early detection of a deviation in psychomotor development and recognition of defective posture is essential for the early start of therapy and thus for its success. The bachelor's thesis can serve physiotherapists in practice as an inspiration for therapeutic practices in preschool-age children.
Compensatory exercises for sports gymnasts
MAREČKOVÁ, Markéta
This bachelor thesis deal with compensatory exercises for gymnasts. Thesis is focused on young gymnasts muscle imbalance, poor body posture and occurrence of injuries of the monitored girls. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a proposal for compensatory exercises, which should improve posture and reduce the emergence of muscle imbalances. Another goal is to map gymnasts overloaded, painful and weakened areas. The last goal is to map injuries of the musculoskeletal system during the training of gymnastics of the monitored girls. Thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part. In the theoretical part, there is briefly described gymnastics and its division and history. Subsequently there is general informations about artistic gymnastics. Next chapters describe muscle imbalances, poor posture, deep stabilization system, posture of artistic gymnasts, injuries in artistic gymnastics and hypermobility. Next chapter is focused on compensatory excercise, where its principles and goals are described here and also its individual parts. The practical part contains the methodology, which was developed in the form of qualitative research, from which the data obtained were processed into individual case reports. In the research, there was participating 5 artistic gymnasts from section TJ Merkur České Budějovice. The data were obtained by semi-structured interview within the anamnesis and kinesiological examination, including examination of posturograph and pedoscope. Subsequently the compensatory excercise unit was designed, which created theme for the self-therapy brochure. This brochure was subsequently processed. Afther approximately 4 months, the final examination was performed, which is part of the results. This bachelor thesis can be used in a clinical practice as an inspiration for working with school-age athletes.
Playing the accordion for school-age children from the perspective of physiotherapy
SMOLÍKOVÁ, Dagmar
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of playing the accordion by children in a school age within the perspective of physiotherapy. Ergonomics of playing the accordion is currently still in the background of interests. For the player (in this case school-aged child), playing the accordion presents a one-sided physical activity and because of incorrectly loaded musculoskeletal system, the muscle imbalance evolves. Incorrect habits, can sooner or later, easily case problems such as back pain, poor posture and many others. The goal of this work was to describe the problem of playing the accordion, determine, how incorrect habits affects the musculoskeletal system and design an exercise program school-aged children playing the accordion. In theoretical part, playing the accordion, axial system, school-aged child evolution, posture, deep stabilization system and selected physiotherapeutic concepts are described. Practical part is processed by form of qualitative research. Data were contained by form of case reports, which includes anamnesis together with kinesiologic analysis. The research group was formed by children, who are already playing the accordion for 2-3 years. I worked with probands for 3 months. In first four therapies, my supervision over probands was once a week and after the fifth therapy, the time period of my supervision was extended for another week. Before the first therapy, I created an exercise program, which was individually modified according to abilities of each proband. Exercise program contained stretching and relaxing exercises of the cervical spine and wrist, activation of correct breathing stereotype, activation of a deep stabilization system with elements of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization and acral coactivation therapy, compensation exercise with overball and sensomotoric stimulation. In the end, during the last therapy, I determined kinesiologic outcome and long-term rehabilitation plan. Based on the research and subjective feelings of probands, I observed and improvement of breathing stereotype, posture during playing the accordion and spine pain relief.
Poor posture in school-age children and possibilities of physiotherapeutical influence
NOVOTNÁ, Dominika
This bachelor's thesis deals with poor posture of school-age children and the possibilities of physiotherapeutic influence. Poor posture is becoming more and more topical and number of children with poor posture is increasing. One of the most common causes is the inappropriate lifestyle of today's children, when children spend most of the day sitting at school and then at home at the computer or television. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, more precisely the spine, pelvis and legs. The next chapter describes correct and defective posture, how defective posture can be investigated and factors influencing poor posture. The last chapter of the theoretical part contains the characteristics of school age. The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to design our own exercise unit for school-age children with poor posture, which is then used for exercise with three probands with poor posture. This exercise unit was processed into an educational brochure and attached to the bachelor's thesis. A partial goal of the work is the analysis of the most common causes of poor posture of children and another partial goal is to propose prevention of this problem. The practical part was carried out in the form of qualitative research. The research includes three school-age probands with whom the therapy was done according to my proposed exercise unit. The practical part contains anamnesis, initial kinesiological analysis and descriptions of individual therapies. The therapies took place from the beginning of February 2020 to the middle of April 2020, when a joint therapy took place every week and the rest of the week the probands had to train at home according to the exercise brochure and exercises they learned on the therapy. All patients have improved, so research shows that therapy for children with poor posture is beneficial, but probands must continue the learned exercise to improve their posture significantly. This work can be used as an educational material for children and parents, or in the clinical practice of physiotherapists.
